Risk Management

Market Risk
Market risk is the possibility of losses resulting from fluctuations in the market values of positions. This includes the risks of transactions subject to foreign exchange, interest rates, stock prices and commodity prices. In case of fall in the value of the assets comprising the portfolio, client assets may suffer losses, depending on when the customer breaks their positions.

Credit Risk
The risk of default or late payment of interest or principal of the securities in the portfolio. Credit risk is associated with the creditworthiness of the National Treasury, in the case of government securities, and the issuer of the security, in the case of corporate debt.

This is the risk of loss of securities held in custody occasioned by the insolvency, negligence or fraudulent action of the custodian.
